What like 5.5 / 5.7? That's what they suggest in all the books you'll find, my Mum drives a 2005 Boxster S (3.2 before the 3.4 came out) and it's more then quick enough to have fun - To get much quicker you'd need some serious money really especially when you want that power RELIABLY everyday, it's nice to know it will start up every morning and still bring a smile to your face, they handle awesome and sound beautiful too.

Yeah they're great but when you need to get it serviced every 3000 miles and it's averaging about 15m/pg it's not exactly cheap to run and even to get sub 5 seconds 0-60 you have to tune them, and like ANY Jap Turbo motor things can start going wrong...... even standard they're not Ultimately reliable like a porsche.

rcluke I have just two questions for you ..........

1) does a full frontal labotomy hurt??

2) how good was the surgeon to remove all of the section of your brain that knew things about cars without damaging the part that types nonsense on forums???

(smile ....)

Josh ever driven a Cat superlite???? A friend of mine has an R500 like the review car and two others have hyabusa motors in strikers.

My own 7esq kit was running a tricked out Toyota 4AGE 20V (about 200 brake, 9000+ revs and enough torque at the bottom end to trickle through town traffic) and was awesome fun until I had the suspension geometry (and chassis for that matter) 'modified' at a Combe trackday by somebody having a talent failure at the rise! She will rise from the ashes ... when I get let of the DIY for a while ... LOL
I might even get around to painting it next time but there was something deeply satisfying wasting Astons around the cotswolds in something 9 different shades of primer and very faded dull paint.

fair play Josh ..... I love Cats but at 5'7" and with size 8 feet I'm just to tall and web footed to dance in there. I personally prefer the Striker as you drive it rather than wear it!

That said, am as envious as I it's possible to be that he has one!!
