am I the only one wondering why we don't just call it 8th electric off-road?

I think a 'cool' spangly name will age, it might sound cool now, but in 2 years, it might be out of fashion.

I think we should just call it 'dib dab cross'.

Will there be any rules?

what sort of run time are we looking at?

I like the pit stops, its a make or break sometimes and keeps the racing close, but if you could do 20mins on charge it would be easier as I would not need a pit crew

Has anyone seen the conversion kits Novak are doing?

Sounds like we have an easy solution to the conversion issue.

I'm up for it.

11.1v LiPo seems a good idea, higher volts=less current = more run-time and lower heat generation.

In fact most 8th scale conversions run a 4 or 5 cell lipo which means 14.8v or 18.5v. A 4 - 5 cell lipo of the 5000mah variety should give you about 25mins runtime unless you set the car up totally wrong.

I can't wait for mine to get together.

I think at first it would make sense to stick them in the same class as the nito's until there are enough around to run their own heats.

Name wise, 8eo (8th electric offroad) and add a wulf to the end just because you can so 8eowulf.

It's just a bit of fun...!

'rallycross' as a term has been around for decades;
still sounds pretty neat to me . . . and to a beginner i'd hazard a guess..

Can you imagine a scouser saying it without spitting loooads? You're not a typical scouser Mark, you sound quite Posh compared to say the lad from the Zutons or Jamie Carragher for instance so you'd be fine saying it

But do you think that by increasing the number of different classes/sizes etc the sport will suffer. Fewer people choosing to compete in the current classes. Divided we fall type of thing? Already RC is up against xbox and wii.

or

Does giving more choice encourage more people into the sport as they wil find the ideal class to take part in.
