Default EZup shelters

My £10 B&Q gazeebo has just blow away so if anyone spots a large white gazeebo floating over the Surrey hills I'll pay you a finders fee for my Weber BBQ prongs hanging off them so I'll be needing a new shelter.

Which is the most commonly used shelter for outdoor racing? Is it the EZup or can some of you recommend a cheaper alternative.

there are many that are cheaper but none that are as good. the proper easyup is lighter stronger puts up with more abuse and from experience outlasts any other gazebo i have seen. stu's first one is now 4 years old and still going strong and is still fully waterproof. well worth the extra outlay rather than getting a cheaper one that needs replacing every year-18 months

I have been looking at Gazebo's too, and was put off by the size of it folded, and the space for it in my car.

There are 3 strut and 2 strut versions. So if the Gazebo is 3m x 3m, then the 3 strut is slightly more than 1 metre tall when folded, and the 2 strut is slightly more than 1.5 metre tall when folded.

So basically, I was put off, as I didn't really need it, was just a whim.

But what I am saying, is make sure you have the ability to fit it in your car

I have done alot of research on Gazebo's after 2 have broke on me this year, both were inexpensive ones that seemed ok, but after using them awhile the steel frame broke.
So I am going to buy an Ez-up brand gazebo. These are much better quality, yes they cost more, but as nigs said they last years, but they are out of stock at the moment, they are waiting their container from the states, should be here very soon though, I am getting the Dome II with sides and a stake kit, it's gonna be over £200, but if it lasts for years then it's worth it!!! Here is a link http://www.ez-up.co.uk/index.htm

only thing that put me off ez up was the fact that they would not confirm they were 100% water proof, only water resistant, instant awnings did claim to be 100% water proof

My EZ-Up has just required the odd spray of Fabsil down the seams once every couple of years just to make sure.

For the large one that we bought SH, a 5 litre tin of Fabsil was sprayed and now the water sits on the surface.

They are pricey but what is nice is that spares (struts, bolts, patches) and accessories can be bought from the UK agent.

The stake kit is a worthy investment...
