http://www.oople.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9376 Jordan this one is going for £85 if you try get in there before its sold, I would say the majority of people have changed to brushless, I only know a handful of people that are still using brushed. Most people run either lrp, nosram or novak esc's and motors which are all fully compatible with each other

I went brushless last year after unreliable brushed motor and would never go back. I picked up a first generation nosram system for £90 second hand i think. never had a problem since.

Don't forget some cells!

3 packs of decent club level cells can be had quite cheaply (The Orion 3300 Rocketpack retails at £22).

I'll be at Southport this Sunday but I'm sure there will be someone at Batley who can help you get an ESC installed

The 'L' motor has thinner windings and less torque, which is better for 2wd

The cells of mine you borrowed were 4200mah, which I can just about get 2 runs out of in 2wd with a 5.5. The 3300's I linked will be more than enough to last with a 7.5

are they not stick type batteries with a tamiya style connector. so would it still work with an lrp sphere?

They are but it doesn't take long to solder some tubes onto the wires. The stick pack will fit in your B4 fine too
