If you want to get into racing then it is a very good set up. The lazer is a competent car. The hauler bag is ace, the charger is good, the radio is perfectly fine. The speedo's and motors will be fine, but most people have moved over to brushless.
The cells are good as long as they have been looked after. All the tools and pinions etc really add up if you need to buy them new.
I would expect the auction to go for a fair bit based on the kit going, but you never know on ebay. As it is collection only it may not get a lot of interest, plus most people already have half the stuff he is selling so wouldn;t want a full package.

i'd certainly keep an eye on it

I think Jim sumed it up, lot of kit if you are starting, looks the standard car, not SP or major changes, brushless would be tight under a standard shell, but its a good car, runs well, tough enough and spare parts are reasonable.
