Default SkyRC Toro 120A incorrectly going to voltage cut off

Hi,

I bought a SkyRC Toro 120A a few weeks back and am hitting an occasional problem with it. I'm running it with a 2S LiPo and 7.5T motor.

On a few occasions, on a freshly charged battery, the car will stop after just a couple of corners - no power to the motor. The ESC emits a "beep beep" and the power light flashes red. My receiver still has power and the steering works. If I turn it off and back on again, the problem is cured and I can run my race without the problem recurring.

It looks to me like it's gone into voltage cut off. I'm wondering if with a freshly charged pack in it, at peak voltage, it's incorrectly identifying it as a 3S lipo. Then as I move off, and the voltage drops a bit, it's thinking the battery is flat so it goes into voltage cut off.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a fix? Thanks in advance for your help!
