Default 22-4 2.0 low grips/wet Astro help

I set my car up as per Ellis here http://site.petitrc.com/setup/losi/s...TORCH20160814/ and it felt good in practice, however it then rained and I was always chasing rear grip and I don't feel I had that much steering either!

Things I changed:

Layed front and rear shocks down
Changed to 2 degrees of anti squat
Took front and rear roll bars off
Backed off slipper

Nothing seemed to transform the car and was still loose at rear on and off power, but more loose on power I would say. Loosening the slipper helped, but I was worried I would melt the spur as it took a lot more throttle to clear jumps etc. I tried new bb greens all round, but interestingly I was no quicker than with a pretty worn set!

Any Suggestions?
