Default circuit board genius required

Ok, unsure if anyone can help but Ive got my hands on a mobility scooter called a Luggie. Problem is ive managed to take the battery apart which was hard work due to the casing being glued shut but quite stunned by whats inside. Im aiming on doing a 3d design casing designed around yuasa batteries (yup i used to drive for fabiix so know the jokes are coming) but also need to change the batteries to something simple to buy like yuasa and be able to easily replace over time so need a guru who knows circuitry to cast their eyes over this picture and see if it can be done as ive never seen so many wires on a mobility scooters batteries before.
