Finger slipping on sticks controller

Does anyone else have this issue? I find I have to readjust almost once a lap because my throttle finger is slipping (KO Esprit IV). This seems to get worse the older I get....

It's got so bad I've been looking at steer wheel, but am nowhere near as fast when I back to back on VRC.
The spikes on the controller are good.
