Best 4WD straight out the box

I know this is one of those questions that gets the usual 'my car is best' answer but I'm curious if there is a concensus on what is generally the best out the box 4WD for the UK.

I'm trying to choose a 4WD and every racer i've spoken to always seems to mention another £60 of option parts that I will 'definitely need' in order to make the car work well.

So, given your own experiences, which of the latest crop of 4WD buggies seems to be top notch out of the box?
