Tempting to call it rear motor, but it's not!
The K1 is a pretty good machine, but I have struggled with it on a bumpy red clay track (loose loamy when damp, and dusty and loose dry...), that gets cut up by Ebuggies/truggies ![]() The rear just doesn't bite hard out of corners. So, with the aim of making the car more forgiving and stable, here is the test bed. ![]() ![]() ![]() Running saddles the weight bias is slightly to the rear, but side to side is almost perfect with no weight added. Also it has the option of running a shorty pack on the rh side, and flipping the servo to the standard position. This also has excellent side to side balance and drops around 100 grams. A quick test run proved positive, but i will have to wait for the first meeting late this month to see how she goes. Currently working on a body and undertray. I'll update again soon. Cheers all. |
