Default 2-Hole pistons in ZX6 shocks

Can someone tell me the thinking behind Kyosho changing to 2-hole pistons in the ZX6?

I used them at TORCH on Sunday, 1st time out with the car and they seemed OK with 30F/25R oil but I went up to 40F/30R when it dried out and it became overdamped and pretty much undriveable.

After racing finished I changed back to 5-hole, 35F/20R and the car was transformed, a guy who lapped me in the final couldn't catch me and it just looked like it was floating over the bumps.

Once it dried out I used the same springs all day, Kyosho Orange front and gold rear in the kit standard shock positions. Car is built in front motor shorty configuration.

Would be grateful for any advice :-)
