Newbie to 1/12

Hi guys and gals

I am a keen racer, as raced 1/8 rally x and 1/10 TC, and a little 1/8th motorcycles.

However I would like to start on the 12th scene, but dont know where to start.

I have seen a vbc lightning 12 (not the v2) new at a reasonable price. But I am not sure if this is a good benchmark to start in the class.

I have some knowledge of pan car racing as I have an associated rc10r5 but I cant find a decent associated at a decent price

I know there are so many companies that make these little rockets. But I am getting confused on which is good and to stay away from.

Any help and advice would be very much appriciated
