Default Cougar kf setup Eden park raceway

Right after 24 years away from racing recently bought a cougar kf to race at Eden Park raceway as closest club. Still have not managed to race due to usual family commitments but finally got to drive the buggy around the track late one afternoon. Setup is stock with 21mm ride height 1deg negative camber rear wheels and 1deg tow in and 1 deg negative camber front. Managed to get around ok and not write the the car off and it started to come back (bit like riding a bike albeit a bit slowly!). It all felt pretty good and it was fun to blasting an rc car again! Everything seemed ok but on the bumpy straight in front of the drivers rostra the rear was bouncing a bit whilst accelerating.

I put this down to:

A. Need softer rear springs than stock kit.
B. Bigger holes in pistons needed in shocks.
C. Thinner oil?

Any suggestions? Maybe someone running a kf at Eden may have some setup tips? Any regarding reversing shocks, diff oil weight, and low grip conversion appreciated!

Thanks. ST
