Shuey staggered ribs on Losi XXX CR front rim?

Hello to all of you offroad carpet racers!!

Offroad Carpet racing is quite new for me here in Oz and i have a question Re Shumacher staggered ribs (Yellow) fitting on a XXXCR front rim.

The tyre seems a lot narrower that the standard losi xxxcr front rim. (incidently, the Shuey front tyre fits perfectly on the old narrow xx front wheel).

What do you guys do here, just run with part of the rim exposed or trim the rim down. The bead fits in ok, just looks strance with the inner most part of the rim exposed...?
