Default Which car for a new racer?

Hi Guys,

I'm sorry as this is a very open question!

I'm looking to buy my brother a 1/10th for his birthday, hopefully to use at TORCH. I used to race at Catisfield Memorial Hall in the early 90s, then just off Kiln Road, is this the same club?? Anyway, he is local in Fareham, and I'm sure he will enjoy it.

As a beginner, would you recommend a 4WD or 2WD? And sticks or wheel on the Tx?

I'm thinking for 4WD either a K1 Aero or BMax4 3 or for 2WD CougarKF or BMax2 MRW. I appreciate his skills will be more than surpassed by all these cars abilities, but wonder if any particular ones are easier to drive?

Are Schumachers or Yoks more widely used at the track, just so he has people to talk to about set-up and spares etc And do either of these makes have any specific advantages on the astro for a beginner?

Also, I only run 1/8th so am not overly knowledgeable on "turns" for the motor. Any suggestions on this?

Sorry for all the questions and many thanks for your advice in advance!

All the best.
