Default Danf1275 Schumacher 'Pride'

Some details of my two Schumacher Buggys, following on from help from this community with getting my 'new' acquisition road worthy.

The first is my Procat, bought new from Apex Models, less chassis parts, for use for a school project. Chassis was cut from fibreglass sheet hand layed by my Father and I. Matting and resin was layered up between two sheets of glass, before carefully being clamped together, to displace excess resin. Material has stood the test of time very well.

Buggy was originally fitted with an Opel Manta shell, vac formed off a buck made by me, but gained a Racecraft shell somewhere along the way, painted as per 1991 Jordan (puts an age on it!).

Recently resurrected and dusted off, it has gained brushless power and an MMS front diff. As far as I can remember, pretty much all parts are original, including belts, which says a lot about Schumacher build quality.

This buggy has huge sentimental value to me, and will not leave my collection.

New comer to my fleet is a Club 10 Cougar. I had been fancying an RC10, but when this popped up on Ebay, I spotted potential (and indeed some spares compatibility with the Procat). Chassis was originally a Storm, but I fancied another Buggy, so plan was hatched to convert it.

A bit off a cleanup, ballraces, some suitable wheels and an Ebay shell sees the little chap in rude health again. It has either had a gentle life, or has had a rebuild quite recently, as plastics are pretty much umarked.

Many thanks in particular to Moozo for sorting me out with wheels and bearings

Both are runners, and indeed Procat had an outing at recent Iconic RC meet at Clumber Park.
