2wd Buggy tyre and noob questions!

Hi guys,
I popped down last night to check out the club, met some nice people and I'm now looking at getting a buggy

A little about me - I used to race 1/10th electric touring cars about 8 years ago and worked in a model shop at the time but I am now severely out of the RC loop (we didn't even race brushless or lipos at the time!) and openly admit I know even less about buggys! I'm wanting to get back I to racing on maybe more of a budget than I did 8 years ago.

I may ( or maybe not lol) buy an associated B4 off eBay tomorrow and if I do I plan on coming down a week on Friday to race as I can't make this Friday.
I've checked out electronics as well. I just want to double check that any brushless is allowed in both your fri and Saturday series and also any brca lipo.

My main question though is, the control tyres for Saturdays (as I don't think you guys have one Friday night?), can I buy them on the day from you guys?

Oh also how do I protect the shock towers from potential carpet damage?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
