Default Why aren't B44.2's not fashionable

Out of interest, why on earth do you not see that many B44.2's? I say this because whilst everyone was talking up the DEX410V3, Yokomo Bmax3, Xray XB4 of late - and in particular the prototypes at the worlds, it was a B44.2 with an alloy chassis and a gear diff conversion that took the title. Likewise it's still Neil Cragg tha took the national title.

I am pondering on getting a 4wd car, and am rather baffled by this - anyone know whay that is the case?
