Getting started and coming down to see?

Hi,

I'm David from Hucknall, and I wanted to find out more about RC racing, and what's available locally. Hence I've popped up here, as Eastwood/Newthorpe isn't far away at all.

Can I just come along one night to have a look what goes on and find out more about what I'd need to get to start?

When I was a very young child I remember having a RC car, however it was a Nikko kind of thing, I loved it, but it could barely have enough power to wheelspin on a piece of gravel! But I also I remember a long time ago (maybe 15 years ago!) going along to a club with a friend, it was in Ogle Street Church Hall, Hucknall). It looked great fun, really fast, but too expensive for me at the time.

I've done a little bit of reading about it, but there are so many classes and I don't know where to start or how much it'll cost me to get started. Possibly the 2wd buggies.

So I guess I'm after finding an ideal beginners setup and finding a club that's fun and helpful. Any advice appreciated.
