Just want to say a Big Thank You to Dan, Steve i think it was? and all others (whom I don't know the names of yet) for the warm welcome today. I had a fantastic morning in the sadistic heat and was made to feel very welcome.
I raced Touring Cars a few years back (Wlrc) but after being diagnosed with cancer I kinda put my hobbies on hold. I'm still in a long, hard battle with it, I've finished my chemo and after my wife leaving me (Yes, dumped in hospital!) late last year, I made a vow to get out there, get some fresh air and race off road!!
After a few failed attempts, I mustered up the courage to get down to TORCH and start racing and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.
Being a Noob to Off Road, I was constantly learning it all again and found my coordination a bit weird today

side effects of medication etc so apologies for my god awful slow erratic driving. I certainly gave the marshals a work out! A stripped gear diff nearly ended my day but i had a spare, however dropping and subsequently murdering my transmitter ended the day for me

it's a cheapy stick radio so ill try and fix it if not just replace.
Once again thank you to all and look forward to seeing you all again next meet!
Sam
