http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/south.../NO5E1581.html This does effectively place the transponder just above the top deck as previously recommended but it didn't count properly all qualifying. I moved it to the wing for the final and it counted but that is inconclusive as a different number transponder was used. The wing isn't a good solution as it will get battered up there so where is the best place to put it for next time? I would also suggest looking at the loop gap and the speed the cars were crossing it. On Sunday the cars were coming off a high grip corner and accelerating for the approach to a jump so were crossing the loop at quite a speed. This might also explain why it was only 4wd cars as they were able to carry more speed on the corner prior to the loop?? It might be worth putting the loop on an a tight apex next time to reduce the speed the cars cross it or increase the spacing. (or both??) Really looking forward to the round now!!
