Now time for something a little bit different!
Wycombe are going to run our second Wycombe Thunder 100 on the 15th of September 2013.

Last year was fantastic and very popular. People loving the different format and feel to the racing day.
We hope last years champions will be returning, Mark Goodchild in Hot Rods, Adam Ambrose in Saloons and Alan Priddle in the Bangers.

Classes running will be Hot Rods, Saloon Stox and Bangers (to WRCC club rules).
Hot Rod Rules: BRCA rules but on this occasion, motor choice is open to any 13.5.
Saloon Stox Rules: BRCA rules but on this occasion, motor choice is open to any 10.5.

This meeting is also the Martin Derrick memorial meeting. Martin was a very popular club member who died last year. We'll take this opportunity to remember him at a meeting we know he would have loved!

For the Bangers it is unlimited shells and running on the small "post and wire" oval.

Meeting format - we will not be running the normal 5 minute heats and finals.
Instead qualifying will be running to 70 lap races and the finals 100 laps. Hence the Thunder 100 title...
Qualifying will be based on finishing positions (Reedy style) throughout the day in your heats. Mixed heats throughout.

Then for the finals we will be running a shoot-out where each driver gets 5 timed laps to get their fastest lap for the final grid.

All Hot Rod and Saloon drivers will have the opportunity to have a go at this.

The meeting has been kindly sponsored by Mardave and Kamtec who will be providing prizes for the winners rather than trophies. So some great incentive there to come along and do well!

Doors will be open from 8:00am and we hope to get underway soon after 9:30am.

Entry is pay on the day but pre-booking is required for Hot Rods and Saloons.
Bangers can book in on the day or in advance. To guarantee a drive we suggest pre-booking as it is likely to be a busy meeting.
