Which starter Buggy for Goshen

Hi I am New to all this,

Looking at joining the club just for fun,

bought a Maverick Ion Xt as a small play toy, which started the ball rolling.

Looking for something a little more now, to come and race for fun and also bashing,I think the phrase is,
Now I know a little about short course trucks, and rock crawlers, as that's what drew me to the hobby, I am an active member on another forum

I really fancy a short course truck 2wd looking at the Traxxas Slash, or Hpi blitz,

What is the short course scene like at Goshen, or would I be better going down the buggy scene?

And if so I font have a clue with buggys, what's a good starter buggy thats sub £200, there just looks soo many,
