5 Cells and Silly quick motors

This is probably old news. If so please point me to an existing thread and I'll pick it from there!

At the petitrc I saw an Evo Motor 3.5 (or 3.0 can't remember) brushless in an S4, with only 5 cells

supplying the power! I was wondering what everyones thoughts were on this and whether its a bright thing to do?
