Default 44.2 shock advice

Ok so im new to this building lark, and wanted some tips.

What do you use to clean shockoil from the shocks, will washing up liquid be ok, or should I really look at some mechanics spray ?

Next thing is when I built up the shocks I noticed 2 things

1. the bleed hole washer once covered in shock oil wanted to squeeze out when I tightened the screw ? any ideas

Also on the shocks themselves there is a small rubber o ring when that's also covered in shock oil it tends to bunch up.

And what do I use to tighten them does the kit come with anything or do I just do as tight as poss without marking the shafts ?

thanks
