Default Tamiya 417V5 double cardan shaft problems

Hi Guys,

Please help!

I have just bought a new 417V5 my dad has also just bought one, the new Double Cardan shafts which are supplied with the kit, see pretty awful to be frank the clips that are designed to hold the pins in, are too weak and ping off far too easily. The older design of the drive shafs without the double joint, were much better as the clips were thicker metal and stayed in place.

So my question is what do you people do with these drive shafts as they are fairly unusable the way they are?

Thank you very much

Chris
