Default Lazer ZX-R MkII Pinion issue

Hi peeps

As you all probably know, when Kyosho (under the instruction of their team drivers) decided to shift the weight distribution forward, they didn't re-design anything they just chopped the motor plates down from the front.
I have an issue whereby if I try and fit anything larger than a 19T mod06 pinion, it won't because the motor can hits the rear bulkhead!
Solution??

(The reason I want to know is because I'd like to finish my lazers using vintage pinions of the same size, preferably 20-21t)

Nick
