DV from my mini DV camcorder produces an AVI file, approx 2gig file for 10 minute video, but this is saved out as Mpeg, WMV or Divx (just started looking at Divx) and is much smaller.
Fraps claims to save in some sort of AVI file, just unable to compress in real time so original file is large, seems reasonable. Nice to see people have been using it and getting results, 37US for a single user licence.
