Can I save this shell

I have a 210 original shell that came with a roller.

Its badly painted white and some parts have really been missed, althought most of it has been touched by at least a little white.

Is re painting the inside with reds and greens goint to show through at all? I know it might darken a bit on the thicker white areas.

Can I thin the paint thats already there so some other colours will show? Thinking maybe acetone lightly with a rag or something?

Im thinking Ill mask the windows again and give it a bit of a rattler fade with a couple of colours to see if it does anything. and maybe doing the window stripes will help out
