Default Experience and opinions on the TLR 22

Hi lads,

I returned to racing after a 6 year break in the summer and have been running a TLR 22 recently with a fair bit of success. I have recently found myself being told that the 22 will hold me back from improving and that I should go for something like the Cougar SV or Kyosho RB6 instead as they are much easier to setup and drive.
I'm in a strange place here as I really want to give myself the best chance I can to do well at the Regionals next year as I want to start doing the national series for which I will need to attain a F2 grade ASAP.
The 22 has been so very reliable (I haven't broken a single part so far) which is very important to me but it has to be said it can be a handful in slippy conditions.
I've had a successful winter season so far competing in North West indoor club championships where we're racing on fairly flat tracks it's when we go outdoors and it gets bumpy I'm unsure whether my 22 will be on the pace.

What are your experiences of owning the 22 and what would you say I should do?

Thanks

Chris
