Default Lap top blue screen of death

Hi all

I have an HP laptop, it's a couple of years old now but still fine until last night. I turned it on and almost straight away I have the blue screen of death with white writing, says about memory dump etc, you know the one

I ran system restore....3 times, I've done a roll back too but to no avail. I switch it on now and I get either the blue screen of death in which case it restarts then I get the "launch system restore (recommended)" and "start windows normally" screen, both it would appear now to be useless.

It's running windows 7 home btw. Only new software i've installed is Kaspersky 2013, but that was on wednesday night and I've used it a few times since. which was on there last year as it was Leileis laptop too (and hers is newer, so can't be that surely) and has been used on my desktop for the past 4 years with no serious issues like this.

All ideas will be considered unless it's a smart arse one like "buy a new laptop". 'Cos as well as not being particularly flush, I think that's just indicative of todays throwaway society...but that's another rant for another day

Cheers guys in advance
