Trishbits centre weight and rudebits battery holders

Ok I give up! Spent all night trying to fit these together on my sx3 as per Simon moss setup. Problem is I just can't work out how to clamp the centre weight to the brass holders. Anyone running these 2 bit of brass able to offer any tips?
