Default XXXS spur gears in X-5 - is it possible?

Has anyone successfully run XXXS spur gears in their X-5?

I stripped my stock spur gear today (on carpet - very high grip) and seeing as I have lots and lots of XXXS spurs it would be handy if they worked.

Is the pitch the same? I think the XXXS ones are 64dp, just like the X5. I might be wrong about any or all of this though.

Which brings me onto another thing....I admit I never thought of this until now...but could the reason for stripping the X5 spur be that I'm using Losi pinions? Aren't these 48dp and don't I need 64dp ones? This might explain a thing or two if I'm right, especially as I'm always very careful with my mesh. Saying this though, I ran standard Losi pinions on my XXXS and never stripped anything.

Now I'm confused....can someone explain please?!
