Default No servo saver.............. remedies?

Hi all, bit of a noob question coming up, so ...............

My 22 obv doesnt have a servo saver, so (bar avoiding crashes) does anyone know hows best to avoid knackering a servo?

Also, does anyone have any views on whether turn limits will increase the load on a servo. Ive had the steering rates on my DX3s turned up to 150% and my friend reckons that will stres the servo more than merely 100% setting. Im noit sure I agree, as surely if the end points are setup correctly, theres no un-needed load?

thanks muchly
