Hi folks.
I ran my X2C saddle pack chassis at the Ledbury regional this weekend for the first time & am currently troubleshooting a couple of teething problems. The main issue is that I've added 40g of low profile stick on weight under the steering servo which has raised the servo by just over 3mm. This in turn had made the angle of the steering turnbuckle from the servo horn to the bellcrank quite acute \ When moving the wheels by hand I could feel a stiff spot in the steering & so added a 3mm washer under the bellcrank ball stud where it connects to the steering servo turnbuckle which raises it & levels out the steering turnbuckle. This seems to have removed the resistance/tight spot in the steering. Has anyone else had to do this sort of thing when adding a weight under the steering servo ? I'm just interested to see if my solution is the norm, or if I'm on my own here. Cheers Ben Jackson |
