Pinion wont budge!!!

I tried to change my pinion last night but the bloody thing wont come off!!! I dont want to bend or damage my motor by keep leaving it off with force!
Any suggestions folks? (and yes I have taken the grub screw out )

Also tried to fit a HD servo spring but I seem to have striped the steering assembaly. Is there a special way of fitting these?
