Speed passion GT2 pro issues

Evening all! We are having a few issues with a brand new ESC (Speed passion GT2 Pro) just wondered if anyone had any ideas. Fitted it into the car, plugged it in and tested the throttle response. All OK so far so then made sure the steering worked and put the car down on the table. Picked it up again a few seconds later and now the car has no throttle response, the steering works but absolutely nothing on the trigger. The ESC also now wont go into setup mode or link up to the little set up box that came with it..... any ideas anyone?
