Default New track

I'm pleased to announce a new track coming to the Mid-West

The last few remaining members of Telford Model Car Club (the same great club which held many successful 1/10th Nationals) have joined forces with the organising team from another successful Telford based club. Our aim being to provide a permanent all-weather astroturf based track for racers within the Mid-West region.

The track build started just over a week ago, following a lengthy planning permission process and since last Tuesday night a band of dedicated club members have already crafted several jump features and laid a large percentage of the astroturf. Next up will be the setting out of the first track layout, followed by general tidying up and ensuring all the astro joins are as smooth and secure as possible. Our race rostrum has also been erected ready for use, along with the race control set-up (once cleaned of the many creatures that currently call it home )

We've already got a BRCA Mid-West Regional scheduled for Sunday 22nd July, and I'm almost certain there will be many club nights prior to that date.

If you'd like to keep up-to-date with progress and upcoming race dates, then follow us on Facebook (facebook.com/TelfordMCC)

Here's a shot taken yesterday. Excuse the 'beach' features, these will be brushed into the astro in the next day or so and the major excess removed.
