brushed v brushless urns confusion

Having recently come back to rc I a little confused with the motor discriptions
Brushed are catagorised as 10 turn 15 turn etc
and I seen brushless discribed similary ie 12t etc......but today i saw somewhere that a 10 turn brushed is no where similar to a 10 t brushless.

Is this the case? or am I just at the age where I become confused easily
