Neebie needs advice

Hey everyone!

I used to race 1/10 off road 10 years ago but due to work and stuff I had to give up. The last car I owned was a Cat 2000 EC. I only raced it for fun. I now have no gear at all as it was sold.
I've now been out the loop for a while but want to get back into racing again in a big way and race in regionals.
After searching on the net and this excellent site I'm wondering what to do.
Start with a 4wd kit as this is what I used to drive, or a 2wd kit as its easier to maintain. My nearest track Stotfold.
Can someone please advise me.
