Brushless Motor Question

Hello,

At my local club most people use 10.5 turn brushless motors in the 2WD buggys.

My question is, Why dont we use 17.5 or 13.5 motors with a bit of timing to get the top speed back.

I thought that the higher the turn the more torqe which would be good for buggys??
