Out Drive cup play on v3 Geared diff.

Hi Guys prepping my V3 for Petit and I've noticed play in my out drives. Do I Shim them it is defo not play in bearings should I shim them between the drive cup and the bearing?

Advice please as this is my first experience of geared diffs.
