Replacement Electronic speed controller

Don't know much about RC cars but my sons Xmas present has failed and he's devastated about it.

The Hobby King HK-SENS-35A ESC burnt out as soon as I connected the battery and I don't want to buy a like for like replacement.

Looking for a suitable replacement to power the Turnigy XK3650 - 3050KV motor that is powered by Zippy 25C 4000 2 CELL 7.4V Lightmax LiPo.

It's on a 2.4 GHz transmitter if that makes any difference.
