Default LiPo overdischarge cutoff/fuse?

Hi everyone,

After the recent issues I had with my car (battery shorted, fuse in the battery blew up), I was wondering two things:

1. What brands/batteries have some kind of fuse/PCB/weak link designed into it to give way safely when the battery gets a short circuit? (I know Team Orion have a PCB acting as a fuse to stop potentially getting a big boom - and possibly also preventing busted ESCs).

2. Are there compact fuses that interrupt at peaks of say 200-300A (at 7.4v) (depending on the battery's peak capacity of course), so I can put on my car between the battery and the ESC? If it's possible it would make sure I don't fry the electronics or battery without relying on the safety features that render the battery useless after doing it's work - unless you open it up. Of course this fuse must have the least possible effect on the resistance, or it could compromise performance.

Thanks for your help,
Paul
