Newbie starting out.

Hey guys, I'm new here and was wondering a few things.

I'm thinking about getting an 8th nitro rc car off eBay. Is this a really bad idea? I myself think it should be alrit but I would like to know a few experiences.

At the moment I have a tamiya Durga but I only have the stock engine onit and with all the problems it's giving me with the plastic and irritating belt I may as well shed the extra fourty quid to get a new nitro instead of brushless.

Thoughts?s

By the way, how much do you think a stock tamiya Durga would be worth rtr including battery, charger, and controller and the durga is slightly scratched on the underside from use.
