Taping tyres - yes or no?
Hey guys,
Ive got several sets of new tyres, and before I glue them up I ALWAYS thought it was important to tape/strap the tyres so they dont balloon out. I first saw this tip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YP6iTaetz5k However, at a local track, other racers were saying this is wrong and that tyre manufacturers DESIGN the tyres to balloon and taping is ruining this. Bottom line - to tape or not to tape? Thanks guys Andrew <=== very confused!!
