B4.1 or Cougar SV PLEASE HELP!

Ok guys,i'm returning to RC after 20 yrs and looking to go club racing (going to my first meeting tomorrow as a spectator) and I honestly can't decide between the B4.1 and the Cougar.
Atmittedly in my heart i am pulled toward the b4 but my mind tells me it's been around for a long time and will therefore will probably outdated and outclassed sooner rather than later.

what are the pro's and cons of each model?
Also,if I went for the B4 should I take the plunge and go for the team kit or is the rtr really worth considering?
How much to convert it to a team afterwards?

Haven't got a huge budget so probably won't be racing for a month or so until I can buy everything but would like to get it right first time around.
Any help or words of wisdom at all would be very much apreciated.
