Default TRF511 Question

Just building up a 511 (again) and ive come across something ive never noticed previously.

The diff pulley (37T) seems to have 4-6mm of side to side movement when in place. The unit as a whole isnt moving, just the plastic gear itself. It seems to be moving laterally on the balls and doesnt seem to be slipping at all.

Question is, is it designed to be like that and act as a "floating" type pulley or is something wrong?

Thanks in advance.
