Burning smell from LiFe pack

I wonder if anyone can help.

I got 2x sets of MuchMore LiFe packs off a very nice chap on this forum (great condiiton and a bargain in my eyes).

Anyways, I have been tinkering with my B44 (I'm a newbie for my sins), and have all the motor/ESC put in. So there I am playing around with 'how I am going to fit all that wiring under the body' and I thought I would plug in the LiFe packs to check everything fits.

Plugged one half of the saddle pack in, everything fine - plugged the other half via the 'connector' cables and got a spark from the pack, now I have a slight burnt smell from that pack. Basically I think I have knackered it, what a prat I am

Does this mean the pack is dead, or will it be OK? Any help would be fab.
